Ardmore Healthcare - High Resolution Manometry
Advantages of using HRM
  • Easy using catheter to find UES and LES
  • Clouse contour plots clarify the whole     esophagus physiology
  • No need for stepwise pull of catheters     through the esophagus
  • Multiple pressure channels allow detailed     data assessment for the whole     esophagus.
  • Using contour plots make interpretations     of such complex patterns much easier
  • A New Approach

Measuring pressures through the whole esophageal body and presentation of the results is now available.

This method consists of measuring multiple pressures simultaneously. For instance 21 pressure channels spaced at 1 to 2 cm intervals. This allows detailed assessment of all relevant data for the whole esophagus.
